Earlier this year, Vincent voiced his interest in learning karate/kung fu. Soon after, there was a deal on Living Social for 16 classes at a studio just up the road from us. Of course, I had to buy it.
After months of talking about it, he finally started today. The timing is just right since he's SO into ninjas right now. I worried that he'd get into class and just start pulling out his crazy made up moves, but for the most part, he did really well. I think this will be a good class for him. He's the smallest (and probably the youngest) in this class, and the teacher seems to do a nice keeping the children (okay, all boys) focused. In fact, a few times he had to remind Vincent to stay focused. I also liked how at the end of the class, he gave them their monthly "homework" which was on the word "diligent," and sat for a few minutes explaining what the word means. I hope that Vincent truly enjoys this class and gets something out of it.
Check out how smart he looks in his uniform (um, it makes him look bigger than he really is, due to the new, nicely starched fabric). Boy, he's handsome, huh?
serious karate kid! juju's been asking for karate too, but due to his hitting nature, i'm not so inclined. can't wait to hear more about your experience.
