Swing

The boys requested we go to a playground after the gym today. While there, Crosby tested out the swing for the first time.

Geocache

One of Vincent's camps this summer is geocache. He loved it. There is one in our neighborhood. After piano lessons, he took me to see it.

Ikea

Tyler, Crosby and I breezed through Ikea this morning. Afterwards, Tyler wanted a snack. He picked their cinnamon roll. Once I bought it, he got himself all situated at a table, placing a napkin on his lap. He was the cutest.

Down At The Beach

Last week, we visited the farmers' market for the first time this season. This week, another first of the season event was the beach. No, not the ocean. We went down to the lake, which has a great sandy patch for the littles. I forgot buckets and shovels, so Tyler improvised with his flip flops. I later gave them a container we had packed snacks in which worked just fine.

Oxbow Raspberry Picking

For the first time ever, Oxbow Farm has opened up their farm to CSA members for raspberry picking. My past experience with picking berries is that it's best to get there early when it is cooler, and there are less people. And, thank goodness I did, because at 1pm today, I received an email saying that they are all picked out for the weekend, and tomorrow's u-pick has been cancelled. We only picked 2 pounds, as I didn't bring much money, but I felt like that's plenty, considering I don't make jam.

The kids had a great time picking and running around the "living playground." Crosby slept the whole time, which worked out well.

Independence Day 2013

We kicked off our day with the annual Montlake 4th of July bike parade down at the community center. We did this last year, too. They kids quite enjoy it. Vincent rode about 4 laps around the block, while Tyler did one. Crosby took about 2-3 laps in the stroller with Daddy. Then, we stuck around and had a picnic and the boys played. We left Vincent with a friend and his family for a play date, and took #2 and #3 home for naps.

In the afternoon, we had our friends, Paul and Gabi, and their 2 kids over for a BBQ and water balloons. After dinner, the kids sat down for a movie while the grown ups played a card game. Then, the boys went across the street for fireworks with our neighbors. Crosby and I tried going over there, but the noise scared him, so we hung out a home.
