More Blue Angels and Palisades

This morning, David took the boys to Top Pot Doughnut and let me sleep in. So nice. They came home, and Tyler came storming into our room saying, "You have to eat your donut, Mommy."

After I had coffee and donut, we headed out to the Museum of Flight to what the Blue Angels take off for the air show. It was super crowded, but a pretty neat experience. We opted to hang out in the museum's control tower room and watch from there. Unfortunately, it took them a long time to get the ball rolling, and we were there for about an hour. Vincent did great, but Tyler was sort of bored. Every so often a helicoptor or a train would pass and that entertained him for about 30 seconds. Nonetheless, we stayed the whole time, and got to see several cool planes take off and land, including the Blue Angels' Fat Albert.

This evening, we had a babysitter so that David and I could go to dinner with our good friends, Seth and Jill, who are moving to Virginia next weekend, and Jon and Andrea. We dined at Palisades, which was my first time ever going. I didn't even know where it was located until earlier this week when we drove past the area going to the Salesforce picnic. What a beautiful location, and restaurant. They have a saltwater pond inside with salmon, seastars,  and sea anemones. Our dinner was pretty tasty, too. This was the view from the outdoor bar, which was pretty much what you see from inside the whole restaurant.
