That's how I would describe my children today. Actually, Vincent more so than Tyler, but they were both little stinkers.
It seemed like the day was going to be a fun one, since we had decided to take the boys to the indoor pool. There was some wrangling to be done before we could get out the door, but we made it there in one piece. Unfortunately, so did everyone else. The "leisure" swim opened at 10:05am, we got there at 10:30am, and it was full. The next swim time was at noon. There was no way we'd be able to entertain the boys enough to wait that long. Vincent, the stinker, made a big fuss about leaving. I mean, I don't blame him, but it was still unpleasant to listen to.
Next, we tried Swanson's Nursery. That's actually a really cool place. But, it was raining, and Vincent, the stinker, complained the whole time about not wanting to be there. Tyler enjoyed running around between the displays of plants, even in the rain. We lasted about 30 minutes, if that.
By then, it was close to lunch time. We decided to try finding somewhere fun to eat in Ballard. We drove around, checked the wait at Portage Bay Cafe (too long), drove around some more. We were about to settle on Ivar's (yeah, fun, huh?), when I remembered there's a McDonald's straight ahead. Vincent had seen a different one earlier and fussed about going there, though we didn't. He also wasn't very excited about the idea of Ivar's (neither was I, to tell you the truth). We figured we had dragged the boys all over town disappointing time already, we may as well give them something we knew they'd like (that's sad to admit).
Lo and behold, this McDonald's had a HUGE playscape. They were thrilled. We stayed there for about an hour and a half, I think. They didn't even finish eating their food. Vincent made a friend, instantly. Tyler didn't want to climb in too far at first. Once Vinent's new friend had to leave, Vincent began to play with Tyler. He was able to get Tyler up to the top, but couldn't get him down the very long corkscrew slide.
I was able to snap one shot before my camera battery died.
Both boys continued to be little stinkers the rest of the day, all the way until we put them to bed. I won't bore you with the details, you'll just have to take my word for it.
