Late Friday evening, David and I received the news that our friend, Scott Soice, had passed away suddenly. As I write this, it is still so hard to believe that he is gone. Though we weren't very close to him, we are deeply saddened by the loss.
This evening, friends and family gathered to celebrate Scott's life. His parents, Larry and Nikki, flew out from Wichita, KS. I can only imagine the pain they are in. They feel so blessed to have met Scott's Seattle friends, and to be able to see how much he is loved and to piece together different parts of his life. Our boys were among the 6 children present tonight. Scott's parents were happy to have the liveliness they brought to the gathering. And, yeah, they were very lively! They were all running around the courtyard outside, having a grand time.
Scott Soice was 38 years old, and he will very much be missed.
