Play Date

I've had a play date in the works the last couple of days. Finally, at the last minute, we finalized the plan, and Vincent had a guest this afternoon. I think they had a good time. I played with them a little bit, but they mostly entertained each other.

It started out with Legos, but quickly moved to Vincent pulling out the dress up box. He became Sheriff Woody. Henry chose to be a race car driver. The boys had me hide a treasure for them to find. The got out a map and really worked hard. Henry made sure that I left little clues for them.

Next, they went down to the basement and played with remote control cars. This is when I learned that everything in the basement can be heard through the heat vent right next to Tyler's bed. And, so, Tyler woke up. Oh well, he got a decent enough nap, just not as long as usual.

Once Tyler was awake, the boys wanted to go back upstairs. They all ended up in the sandbox until Henry's mom came to pick him up.

Dinner tonight was pork spare ribs with Chinese five spice. We also had some soba noodles and a braised cabbage with little shrimps as a side.
