4 1/2 Years Old

Vincent's 4.5 years old today! Let's see, at this age, what's Vincent up to? Well, he's still quite the chatterbox, so let's start with some of the things he says.

"...for sure."
"Okay, here's the deal..."
"Everybody!..."
In referring to yesterday or a day in the past, he says, "last day."
In referring to tomorrow or a day in the future, he says, "next day."
When Tyler is crowding him, he'll say, "Give me some space. I need some space!"
"I smell something weally stinkly."

Some likes:
-doing art
-Angry Birds
-salad
-Legos
-soccer
-Tball
-playdates
-television
-playing in the sandbox
-and most recently, he's into climbing
-listening to music & singing
-books
-writing his name
-stuffed animals
-telling people what to do
-playing games, especially pretend play

Some dislikes:
-getting dirty
-avocados
-listening to his parents
-going to sleep

Today, we went to the gym. Afterwards, we had lunch at Tutta Bella for pizza with our friends, Andrea and Eva. At home, Vincent had some quiet time, but before that, I read him a new book, "The Monkey King." Although I regret buying this book, he does seem to find it entertaining. It triggers MANY questions. After quiet time was T-ball practice. Before practice began, Vincent climbed on a tree at the playground. After t-ball, he yelled at me because he was hungry and wanted to eat right then and there. I had no food for him and said we were going home for dinner, but he continued to be angry with me. By the time we were halfway home, he calmed down and was nice again. Dinner was made by Daddy: quinoa with kale, corn and black beans. Yum! And, the boys did pretty well eating it. We all had a cookie for dessert. The boys got a treat and watched some television before bedtime. Vincent was kind of all over the place at bedtime, but eventually settled down. He then needed to poop, which took forever (sorry!).

And, that was how we spent Vincent's half birthday this year.
