It's sad to say, but everytime we come to L.A. one of our kids ends up getting sick. Now, Tyler and I have a little bit of a cough, but we're doing much better than David and Vincent.
We had to cancel our plans to drive to Topanga Canyon to meet up with old Seattle friends, Gabe and Sarah, today. We were hoping to stay the night with them, but thought it would be best to just see them tomorrow.
So, instead, we took the boys to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, hoping that it'll be quiet because it's a weekday. Unfortunately, there were many field trips happening, and it was kind of crazy. We last only an hour. But, our Pacific Science Center membership allowed us into this place for free, so it was worth it.
Afterwards, we went to get lunch at this plaza across the street. We couldn't believe how hard it was to find parking, and all the other cars circling around like us. When we did find our spot, it was unclear if we would get it or if this oncoming car was trying for it, too. I told David to just be aggressive and go for it. Lunch spot: Corner Bakery Cafe. It's sort of a cross between Panera and Specialty's, and super busy.
This afternoon, everyone took long naps. Much needed.
For dinner, we treated the family to a Korean tofu restaurant down the street. It's been there a really long time, and my mom and sister eat there often, but it was my first time. So yummy. Tofu soup, who knew it could be so tasty!
