Summer Edition, Day 19
We had a birthday party at 1pm today. Before that, we went to Fu Lin for some Chinese food. Slow service, which is unusual for them, but yummy food.
The party was at Arena Sports. It's an indoor soccer center. The boys got to run around the field kicking balls around for a while, and then it was bouncy houses time. This place is cool because they serve beer for the parents. Unfortunately, I only got one picture.
We were actually pretty surprised with how well Vincent did on the field. At first, he seemed a little awkward, but then he was soon dribbling down the field with ease. It's a good thing we signed him up for soccer camp this summer. Maybe he'll actually enjoy it.
I went to work in the evening while the boys had their night home. They watched Jumanji, which scared Tyler.
I came home earlier than usual. At about 9pm, my mom called me to say that my uncle had passed away today. He was her sister's husband. It was expected, I guess, only, I thought he was doing better. Nobody told me that he started to fade quickly a couple days ago and that both my cousins rushed to Taiwan, hoping to be able to say their last good-byes. I'm deeply saddened for my cousins and aunt, even though I feel relieved that he can now rest peacefully, and his suffering has come to an end.
