Still Going, But We Have A Super Trooper

We are on day 4 of stomach flu for Vincent. This totally blows. He can barely eat, so his already skinny body is even skinnier.

He is, however, seemingly getting better. His fever broke & has not gone back up all day. He only took one short nap, instead of several throughout the day. He got up and played a little. Very little. He also wanted to go to the backyard with David and Tyler before dinner. I told him he could if he promised to do exactly as I said, which involved lots of bundling up. While outside, he barked a bunch of orders as them, playing 'Simon Says.' He even gave us a whole lot of attitude.

What he hasn't been doing is eating much. Yes, yes, we get that he's not feeling well, and, sadly, everything he eats goes right through him. The problem is he refuses to eat the better stuff we offer him and will eat a little of the not as good stuff. He had a frozen fruit pop (for hydrating) and French fries (carbs). He barely touched the fresh apples I peeled and sliced for him. I won't drink the Pedialyte. Dinner for him was plain orzo, which he made a big fuss about eating. *Sigh*

And, so he continues to run to the toilet, and worry us. David went out to get some probiotic tablets to tell him it's "medicine." He drank half the glass. Hopefully, it'll help him build some good bacteria, and things will slow down for him. At least, he's able to control himself now and reduce accidents. Whew!

No Superbowl party for us tomorrow.

As for our 'super trooper,' it's Tyler. Aside from being loud and full of silly energy (both good, normal behavior), he has been a total trooper. He plays on his own, he is agreeable to being cooped up in the house, and he's giggly and happy. He had his moments here and there, but for the most part, he has been pleasant. Thank goodness!!
