I took my 3 hour glucose tolerance test this morning. Unfortunately, once you factor in waiting to be called by the lab (which they were only a couple minutes behind), getting the first blood draw, then drinking the sugary orange liquid, and the time it takes to make each subsequent blood draw (3 more, for a grand total of 4), I was there for like 4 hours. And, I had been fasting since 9pm the previous night. It was past 1pm when I left the clinic. I was queasy and famished. Luckily, I didn't pass out.
And, now we wait for results...
