Memorial Day 2013

Nothing planned, so we had to think on our feet every morning this long weekend.

Friday: ignored the older boys after breakfast, and crawled back into bed with David and Crosby. Finally, at 11am or so, got the boys out the house for lunch. Ended up at Bellevue Square. Then, the paint store for color samples. Dinner was delivered to our house.

Saturday: we planned to take boys to Arena Sports for bouncy houses. Slow moving, but made it in time for an hour of mayhem. Lunch at home. Madison Park in the afternoon. Leftovers for dinner.

Sunday: Slow moving, again. Hung around the house too long and ran out of time to do anything before swim lessons. Took the boys to swim, then came home to chill. I went grocery shopping all by myself for the first time since Crosby was born! Dinner (final one) was delivered. Hildebrandt family came over with dessert.

Monday: Gameworks and lunch at Nordstrom. First time we've ever taken the kids to Gameworks. Seriously, I can't believe we've waited this long. They loved it. The best part, I think, was that the prize area was like going shopping. They were given their ticket totals, and they could just go up and start picking out what they wanted. They had shopping baskets and the "price". Tyler made out with a bunch of stuff, and still had points left over. We walked back over to Pacific Place, where we parked and walked across the sky bridge to Nordstrom for lunch. It was perfect, as Crosby woke up then, and was hungry, and Nordies has a "mother's room" in their ladies lounge for nursing and diapering. It was just across from the Nordstrom Cafe, too. Convenient. And, as we were leaving to go home, we ran into friends.
Tyler won big right off the bat.
I'd say, all-in-all, for not having made plans this 4-day weekend, having not-so-great weather, and two rambunctious boys and a 6-week old baby, we did okay keeping it together. There were a few times that I think David and I were close to losing it, but we're all still in one piece!

Making sweet memories with our boys on Memorial Day...
